Probate and Estates
Skilled Attorneys Handling Probate and Estate Matters
With more than 100 years of combined trial experience, we dedicate our professional lives to the fight for justice and to protect the quality of life for you and your loved ones, through highly personalized service and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Probate courts and the estate administration process are intended to ensure the effective and efficient transfer of property upon death. Unfortunately, to most participants, the system appears neither effective nor efficient. Following the death of a parent or the death of a spouse, no one wants to face bureaucratic, administrative matters.
Conservatorships and Guardianships: Our attorneys file petitions on behalf of clients who wish to protect and care for their loved ones who are unable to manage their own persoanal affairs and finances. A conservatorship is for an adult who is disabled from a physical or mental condition such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease and who needs a conservator to act on their behalf. Conservatorships are often needed if one has not planned for a future disability by preparing a durable power of attorney or a health care power of attorney. Guardianships are necessary when a minor (individual under the age of 18) has no one to care for them and/or when such an individual would come to possess significant assets, at such time someone would petition the court to serve as guardian to manage such assets.
